Our Planet, Our Future,
What my environment means to me…
We invited budding young artists under the age of 11 from across Great Britain to get out and about in their environment and send in their inspired paintings, pictures or photographs demonstrating what their environment means to them.
Despite the excellent standard of entries that flooded in from across Great Britain, Ben Roberts, age 7, from Cornwall was selected the deserved winner of a National Trust family pass and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for his home, courtesy of the Heat Project.
Ben’s entry, shown below, demonstrates a mature understanding of the importance of the phrase ‘recycle, refuel and replant’, a message which the Heat Project urges is conveyed to the next generation to encourage a sustainable and responsible attitude to the care of our planet and environment.

Some of the Heat Project’s other favourite entries are showcased below:
Bethany Sharples, age 8 Francesca Squitieri, age 8
Millie Goldie, age 7 Pheobe Goldie, age 9

Joshua Burton, age 8
We would like to thank all entrants for educating us with a child’s insight into our environment, and for taking the time to think about the best way forward to maintain a healthy and sustainable planet.
